A fan was kicked out of Arthur Ashe Stadium early on Tuesday morning after Alexander Zverev claimed the person had uttered ‘probably the most well-known Hitler phrase ever’.
While the German star emerged victorious after beating Jannik Sinner in 5 units to advance to the quarter-finals, the match was not with out controversy.
With each males tied 2-2 within the fourth set, Zverev could not take it anymore and rushed to the chair umpire to complain in regards to the fan’s stunning comment.

After the match, American Tennis Association spokesman Chris Widmaier confirmed {that a} “disparaging remark was directed at Alexander Zverev”.
Zverev will face defending US Open champion Carlos Alcaraz on Wednesday.
