Hillary Clinton Shares Why She Thinks Pelosi Is Like Queen Elizabeth II
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton suggested that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) was similar to the late Queen Elizabeth II.
During Sunday’s appearance on CNN, host Dana Bash asked Clinton who she thought were the “bravest” people in politics right now.
Clinton replied, “I think Nancy Pelosi is the bravest woman in politics right now.”
She explained: “She has shown through all kinds of turbulence and challenge what it means – much like the Queen, to use an analogy here – to get up every day, put on the high heels she wears, get dressed for the fight the values and ideals she firmly believes in.”

Clinton called the Queen “an engaged and lively conversationalist”.
She continued, “She asked great questions. She was interested in what was going on in the United States and around the world.”
Do you think Pelosi is similar to the Queen?
Her husband, former President Bill Clinton, paid tribute to the Queen, saying“It was wise not to underestimate her.”
He added: “She was a smart person. She knew what she was doing. And she believed that the life she dedicated to preserving the British monarchy was not a life wasted.”
Pelosi issued a statement of his own after news of the Queen’s death broke.
“During her seven decades on the throne, Her Majesty has been a pillar of leadership in the global arena and a devoted friend of liberty,” Pelosi said said.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives commended the Queen for “embodying the highest spirit of civic duty: to earn the honor of her people and the respect of the world. Her Majesty has expertly guided the UK through great turmoil and transition.”
Pelosi recalled that it was an “honour” to witness the Queen’s address to Congress in 1991.
Concluding her message, Pelosi said, “May it be comfort to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the entire royal family that Americans pray with them at this sad time.”
The Queen died last week at the age of 96.
