Kunal Nayyar Confides in Lucy Hale in The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry Clip
A.J. Fikry’s (Kunal Nayyar) life isn’t turning out as he wanted it to, both emotionally and financially. His wife passed away, and he feels alone in the world. He’s developing a drinking problem while trying to keep his bookstore alive. His most valuable possession, a series of poems by Edgar Allen Poe, gets stolen. It’s not until an unexpected package arrives at his store that he is able to gain a new perspective on life and love, helping him to live more desirably.
Alongside Nayyar in the cast of The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry are Lucy Hale, Christina Hendricks, David Arquette, Scott Foley, Lauren Stamile, Mia Sinclair Jenness, and more. It’s directed by Hans Canosa and based on the novel by Gabrielle Zevin.

As he tries to keep his store afloat, he begins to drink his sorrows away ultimately hitting rock bottom when his most prized possession, a series of Edgar Allen Poe poems, are stolen. But when a mysterious package appears at the bookstore, the unexpected arrival gives Fikry a new lease on life, and love, that are greater than he ever imagined.
