PAGASA Says Shear Line and Amihan to Affect PH Weather Condition

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that the shear line and northeast monsoon will affect the country’s weather conditions.

On Monday (January 15, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The shear line and amihan will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA reported that the shear line is affecting the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao and will bring rain showers over several areas. Amihan will be affecting Luzon and the rest of Visayas.

The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Southern Leyte, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and Davao Region.

Possible flash floods or landslides are expected in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, and Bicol Region.
