Bryan Christopher Kohberger issued an arrest warrant for first-degree murder in connection with the stabbing murders of four University of Idaho students, whose bodies were discovered in a rental home close to school last month, was issued for a 28-year-old man on Friday in Pennsylvania.

Since the deaths had place, he is the first person to be named a suspect. It was not immediately obvious if he had hired a lawyer, and there was no early information on a potential motivation. According to the court documents, Kohberger is awaiting preliminary arraignment.

A Bryan Kohberger was also identified online as a psychology student in 2018 at Northampton Community College in Albrightsville, where he participated in “raising awareness of hidden disability” and was a part of Psi Beta.

Up until last year, he was also employed by the Pleasant Valley School District as a part-time school security guard.

The arrest represents a long-awaited development after four friends were fatally murdered while dozing off in their off-campus house.

Multiple knife wounds were sustained by Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, all 21, Xana Kernodle, and her boyfriend Ethan Chapin, both 20.

Police initially referred to the killings as “targeted,” but later withdrew that designation after admitting for weeks that they lacked a murder weapon, a motive, a suspect, and any discernible explanation for why the group was so brutally murdered.
