Christopher John Hipkins was born on the 5th of September 1978 in Hutt Valley, New Zealand and he is forty-four years old as of 2022. he has done his basic education at Waterloo Primary School and Hutt Intermediate and In 1996, he was also the Head Boy at Hutt Valley Memorial College. Hipkins earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and Criminology from the Victoria University of Wellington. Hipkins worked as a training manager for Todd Energy in Taranaki and as an advisor to Trevor Mallard and Helen Clark in Parliament before entering politics.

Currently, he serves as the Minister of Education, Minister of Police, Minister of Public Service, and Leader of the House. Chris is soon to become the Prime Minister of New Zealand till 7 February 2023. After the 2008 election, he served as the Member of Parliament for Remutaka. Chris served as the Minister of COVID-19 Response from November 2020 to June 2022. Chris will be the 41st Prime Minister of New Zealand until 7 February 2023 and will become the leader of the party on 22 January 2023.

Christopher John Hipkins became the 47th Minister of Education and Minister of Public Service on 26 October 2017. Then on 14 June 2022, he became the Minister of Police in place of Poto Williams. He served as Minister of Health from 2 July 2020 to 6 November 2020, before being Minister of COVID-19 Response from 6 November 2020 to 14 June 2022. He was the 11th Leader of the House and a member of the Parliament of New Zealand. Chris was the sixth minister in the government from the Labor Party between 2017 and 2023.
